A limited model to celebrate Lowden's 45th anniversary!
It's Lowden's Birthday! The most beautiful Irish company has been around for 45 years in 2019 and that should of course be celebrated. Where some companies only mention it, George Lowden and his people go a step further by releasing the O-25 in a limited edition. The O-25 is a reissue of the L-25, the original Lowden model. The guitar is expected in stores in November, and we at Dijkmans Muziek also managed to get our hands on one! The guitar can rightly be called an anniversary model, as this beauty is equipped with the old-fashioned Lowden logo on the headstock and a '45' decoration on the heel cap. Other nice extras include the Figured Mahogany bindings and inlays and a free limited edition shirt for the customer. Great!

Back to basics with the O-25
When George Lowden started in the 1970s he built the L-25. The basis of the model? George envisioned a steel-string acoustic guitar in a Jumbo format with a Red Cedar top and Indian Rosewood back/side. The guitar marked the beginning of the Lowden brand as we know it today, as the guitar was seen as THE Lowden at the time, with its rich tonal character, warmth and abnormal projection as key features. The L-25 quickly became immensely popular and used all over the world in every style you can think of. For example, the guitar has largely ensured that Lowden could become such a successful brand.
