Stephen Carpenter of Deftones is one of the most influential guitarists in alternative metal. His distinctive use of 8-string baritone guitars has helped define the sound of Deftones. The SC-608B in Chiquita Yellow — based on his beloved ESP Custom Shop guitar with the same nickname — is a limited edition that perfectly reflects his unique playing style and personality.

Tonally, the SC-608B is an instrument of a different order. The 27" baritone scale and 8 strings — typically tuned to F#-B-E-A-D-G-B-E — give you a massively extended low range that is perfect for the heavy, atmospheric textures for which Deftones are known. The Fishman Fluence SRC Signature 3-Voice pickups, accessible via a 5-way switch and push-pull control, offer three different voices for maximum versatility. The mahogany body with neck-thru construction ensures maximum sustain.

The three-piece maple neck features a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets. The Hipshot hardtail bridge with string-thru-body design provides direct string transfer and maximum tuning stability. LTD locking tuners complete this instrument. Includes ESP hardshell case.
