Furch's Vintage 1 line is built for the player who loves an honest, organic sound character without frills. The D-SM combines a classic Dreadnought body with a wood combination that has proven its worth for decades: Sitka Spruce and African Mahogany. The result is a guitar that immediately feels familiar, but reveals more and more upon closer inspection.

The Sitka Spruce top gives the tone a clear, defined attack with plenty of projection, while the African Mahogany back and sides provide a warm, full midrange with a characteristic roundness in the low end. This is the combination that made country, folk and singer-songwriter music great, and on the Vintage 1 D-SM it sounds exactly as it should. The full-pore satin finish allows the wood to breathe freely and contributes to an open, direct sound character that only gets better with age.

The neck is crafted from African Mahogany with an Ebony fretboard and bridge, finished in faux ivory binding. The characteristic Furch Soft-V neck profile plays comfortably and effortlessly, even during long sessions. Scale length 25 9/16", nut width 1 3/4", TUSQ zero fret and fully compensated saddle for optimal intonation. Comes with a sturdy Hiscox Hardshell case.
