The Epiphone 1957 SJ-200 Reissue in Antique Natural: the King of the Flat-Tops in its most timeless form

There are guitars that look good, and then there's the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1957 SJ-200 Reissue in Antique Natural. The light, unvarnished look of the Antique Natural finish exposes the wood grain, giving the instrument an honesty that other color variations lack. The classic stinger on the back of the headstock, the rosewood Moustache bridge with mother-of-pearl inlays, and the open-book headstock with Gibson-style inlays make this a guitar that needs no introduction on stage. Developed in collaboration with Gibson Custom, built for the guitarist who takes the SJ-200 legacy seriously without paying the Custom Shop price.

The sound of the SJ-200 is big, and that's exactly the intention. The thermally aged Sitka spruce top with scalloped X-bracing projects with a volume and openness that smaller guitars cannot match. The figured maple back and sides add clarity and definition to the low mids, keeping the tone balanced even when strummed hard. The glued dovetail neck joint ensures full resonance that you can feel throughout the body. The built-in L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC pickup with soundhole volume and tone control makes it instantly stage-ready, without compromising the acoustic tone.

The all-solid construction consists of a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, figured maple back and sides, and a two-piece flame maple neck with walnut stringer and comfortable C-profile. The bound Indian rosewood fingerboard features mother-of-pearl Crown inlays and 20 frets. The scale length is 650 mm. The rosewood Moustache bridge, bone nut and saddle, and gold hardware complete the vintage-accurate look. Delivered in the luxurious Red Line hardshell case with Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics.

The Epiphone 1957 SJ-200 Reissue in Antique Natural is the jumbo acoustic guitar for those who know that less color sometimes means more character.
