The Mayones Cali HL 6 gives Henrik Linder's ideas six strings and a compact stage
A six-string bass that changes your perspective on the instrument: the Mayones Cali HL 6 Henrik Linder Signature Ultra Pink was developed with the bassist from Dirty Loops. His request for a six-string version of the compact Cali grew into his own signature model. The short 436 mm (17.1 inch) scale length and the striking Ultra Pink finish immediately make it clear that this is no conventional bass. It is precisely the combination of the compact size and six strings that invites you to approach chord voicings, melodies, and bass lines in a different way.
At the heart of the sound is the Velvetrone Double Noble HL soapbar pickup, designed for Henrik. With the Velvetrone Musashi preamp and three-band EQ, you can shape the tone precisely, while the series/parallel switch makes a different pickup response available. This allows space to alternate between a full bass part and more clearly articulated chords and fast lines. The built-in headphone amplifier with aux input also makes it possible to work out ideas without immediately connecting an external amplifier.
The Cali HL 6 features a neck-through construction, an 11-piece neck made of maple, mahogany, amazakoe, and wenge, and an ebony fretboard with a 20-inch radius. The 24 jumbo frets and pink position and side markers match its outspoken character. According to the provided specifications, this model has a swamp ash body and top, Mayones/Schaller Mini tuners, and a Mayones X2 two-piece bridge. The electronics include volume, a three-band tone control, and a series/parallel mini-switch. A rechargeable internal power supply, USB-C charging port, and Mayones Hybrid Case complete the equipment.
This Ultra Pink version is expected to be delivered in mid-December 2026. Anyone curious about what a compact six-string bass can do off the beaten path will find the Cali HL 6 a special instrument to look forward to.
