The PRS Tekton Floyd provides a modern foundation for expressive tremolo playing
The PRS Tekton Floyd is available for pre-order. Delivery is expected in late 2026 or early 2027. This schedule is an indication and is subject to change.
The PRS Tekton Floyd Multi-Metal Flake is the Tekton for guitarists who give the tremolo an active role in their playing. This version combines the modern Tekton platform with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge and an alder solidbody. The name Tekton refers to the Ancient Greek word for craftsman or builder, a fitting concept behind this purposeful electric guitar. The sculpted contours and improved access to the highest frets keep the focus on your playing, whether you are working on a technical passage or playing a long set.
The two PRS Stylus humbuckers were developed specifically for the Tekton family and emphasize articulation, clarity, and character. Clean parts retain their detail, while overdriven chords and fast passages remain clearly defined. Furthermore, the pickups feel just as at home in front of a tube amplifier as they do in a digital modeling setup. The split pickup positions are also designed as fully-fledged tonal options. With the volume control, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade pickup switch, you can move between different sounds. The Floyd Rose bridge adds room for expressive vibrato and pronounced pitch movements.
The 25.5-inch scale length, the ebony fretboard with a 16-inch radius, and the 24 PRS Jumbo stainless steel frets form a purposeful foundation for technical and expressive playing. The maple neck has a Modern D profile that feels slim but provides enough grip. Offset Dot inlays and blue Luminlay side dots help you with orientation. The body is made of alder; a separate wood top is not included in this version. The Floyd Rose 1000 Series replaces the fixed bridge of the standard Tekton. PRS Phase III Locking Tuners and a PRS Double-Acting truss rod complete the equipment.
Are you looking for the modern playability of the Tekton with a Floyd Rose under your right hand? This Multi-Metal Flake version comes with a PRS Premium Gigbag and invites you to further explore your own boundaries.
