The PRS Tekton Hardtail gives every nuance of your playing room to breathe
The PRS Tekton is available for pre-order. Delivery is expected late 2026 or early 2027. This schedule is an estimate and is subject to change.
Precision without detachment: the PRS Tekton Slate Blue is built for guitarists who seek a direct connection with their instrument. The name Tekton refers to the Ancient Greek word for craftsman or builder, a fitting philosophy behind this modern electric guitar. The mahogany solidbody with a figured mango top and Shallow Violin top carve combines a distinctive look with refined ergonomics. Its sculpted contours and improved access to the highest frets make it a comfortable partner for long studio sessions, intensive practice, and extensive performances.
The two PRS Stylus humbuckers were developed specifically for the Tekton, emphasizing articulation, clarity, and character. Clean parts retain their detail, while overdriven chords and fast passages remain clearly defined. Furthermore, the pickups feel just as at home in front of a tube amp as they do in a digital modeling setup. The split-coil pickup settings are also designed as full-fledged tonal options, not as an afterthought. With the volume control, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade pickup switch, you can move between different sounds without losing the focus of your playing.
The 25.5-inch scale length, ebony fretboard with a 16-inch radius, and 24 PRS Jumbo stainless steel frets form a purposeful foundation for technical and expressive playing. The maple neck features a Modern D profile that feels slim yet provides sufficient grip. Offset dot inlays and blue Luminlay side dots assist with orientation. The PRS Hardtail bridge supports natural resonance and direct response, while PRS Phase III Locking Tuners contribute to stable tuning. A PRS Double-Acting truss rod allows for precise neck adjustment.
Are you looking for a modern PRS that reacts clearly to your touch and gives your technique full room to breathe? The Tekton Hardtail keeps the path between your ideas and your sound short. This Slate Blue version comes with a PRS Premium Gigbag.
