The Suhr Mateus Asato S Black is the signature guitar of Mateus Asato, one of the most influential guitarists of his generation. The Black Gloss finish on the Alder body with gold hardware has a sleek, timeless elegance, but the real story is in the neck. The 3A Roasted Birdseye Maple neck with Indian Rosewood fretboard is one of the most beautiful necks Suhr has ever built, and the Even C Medium profile (.840-.920) gives the guitar a playing feel that is perfect for legato and slides.

The Indian Rosewood fretboard with Even C Medium profile (.840-.920) plays comfortably and invitingly, with 22 Heavy Stainless Steel frets, dot inlays, and a 9-12 compound radius. The Asatobucker (bridge) and two V63+ single coils via a 5-way switch with volume and tone. The Gotoh 510 bridge with steel block and Suhr locking tuners ensure stable tuning. Scale 25.5, includes hardshell case.
