The guitar that captures Pete Thorn's love for the PT90 pickup
The Suhr Pete Thorn Traditional 90 Trans White was built in close collaboration with Pete Thorn himself, and that's evident in every detail. The Swamp Ash body in transparent white has a light, open resonance that gives the PT90 pickup in the neck position ample space to showcase its warm, full character. Combined with two V63 single coils in the neck and middle, this delivers a guitar with a broad tonal palette that effortlessly switches between vintage warmth and bright Strat tones.
The 3A Roasted Birdseye Maple neck with matching fretboard and Pete Thorn 60's Soft V profile (.830"-.910") plays comfortably and fast, with 22 frets, dot inlays, and a 9"-12" compound radius. The Suhr 2-Post bridge with bent saddles and Suhr locking tuners ensure stable tuning and direct coupling. Weight 3.19 kg, scale 25.5", hardcase included.
The PT90 is not a standard P90. Suhr developed the pickup together with Pete Thorn to combine the warmth and character of a classic P90 with the clear definition that Suhr guitarists are accustomed to. In the neck position of this Traditional 90, it sounds full and expressive, without the hum that sometimes characterizes older P90 designs.
