The Beetronics Wannabee lets two overdrives interact

The Beetronics Wannabee Beelateral Buzz is not a dual-drive that forces you into one fixed combination. It pairs two beloved overdrive concepts with a routing system that allows you to use the circuits in series or in parallel. This allows you to build from a subtle push into your amp to a layered, harmonic drive. For guitarists who love to tinker with their tone, that freedom is exactly what makes it fun: small changes in the relative balance can result in a completely different response under your fingers.

Circuit #0 draws on the character of a Bluesbreaker: bright and open, with a touch of tube warmth. The three Flavors alter the low frequencies and the body of that drive. Circuit #1 gives Beetronics' take on the Klon its own honey-sweet twist. Here too, there are three Flavors, which allow you to adjust the amount of clean blend. Together, they don't simply provide more gain, but also different ways for touch, definition, and saturation to influence each other.

The Routing System is the heart of this overdrive pedal. In the center position, you mix both circuits in parallel using their volume controls. Switch to the right, and Circuit #0 feeds into Circuit #1; to the left, the order is reversed. With the footswitch, you choose which circuit is active and how the two interact. This lets you gently push one drive into the other or have them collide powerfully. Discover which combination makes your amp and playing style sing the best.
