The ENGL Fireball 25 combines fiery rock tones with sparkling cleans

From a clear chord to a heavy metal riff, the ENGL Fireball 25 E633 gives you both sides of a tube amp in one compact top. This 25-watt guitar amp features Clean and Lead channels, so you don't have to choose between an open basic tone and plenty of overdrive. The character of its bigger brother, the Fireball 100, is reflected in the choice of 6L6GC power tubes. For those looking for their first tube top, this is an attractive introduction to the distinctive ENGL sound without complicated controls.

The Clean channel starts bright and sparkling. Turn the gain up further, and that clean sound gradually gives way to a smooth crunch. The Lead channel follows suit with much more gain, suitable for heavy rock parts and metal. The built-in Noise Gate helps reduce unwanted noise at high gain, while the Mid Boost gives your midrange extra emphasis when a solo needs to stand out more. This allows you to not only choose the amount of distortion, but also determine how prominently your guitar cuts through the mix.

Under the hood, two 6L6GC power tubes work together with four ECC83/12AX7 preamp tubes. Both channels have their own gain control; Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence help you shape the sound further. With Lead Volume and Master, you can adjust the volume to suit your needs. The built-in Power Soak lets you play at lower volumes and makes it possible to drive the power section harder without maintaining the same sound level. Via the effects loop, you can add external effects to your setup. As a standalone amp top, you use it with a suitable speaker cabinet.
