Lake Placid Blue in Nitro on Alder with Nickel Frets and Wilkinson Year One Delivering on Its Limited Status

The Suhr Classic S Antique Limited Edition Lake Placid Blue is a guitar that fully lives up to its limited status. The Lake Placid Blue finish in nitrocellulose lacquer on the Alder body has a cool, timeless look that immediately harks back to the best S-types of the sixties, and the Roasted Maple neck gives the instrument a warm, stable foundation. The Antique treatment and the Clay Dots on the Indian Rosewood fretboard complete the vintage picture down to the smallest detail.

The Indian Rosewood fretboard with a 60's C Vintage Standard profile (.810"-.930") plays familiar and comfortable, with 22 medium Nickel frets, Clay Dots, and a 9"-12" compound radius. The SSV (bridge) and two V60LP Plus single coils via a 5-way switch with volume and tone. The Wilkinson Year One bridge and Suhr locking tuners ensure stable tuning. Scale 25.5", gig bag included.

The choice for Nickel frets instead of Stainless Steel is a deliberate step towards vintage authenticity. Nickel frets give a slightly rounder, warmer tone and a playing feel that is closer to the originals from the fifties and sixties. In combination with the V60LP Plus pickups and the Wilkinson Year One bridge, this Classic S Antique Lake Placid Blue sounds and feels exactly as the name promises.
