The Bourgeois L-12 Vintage with Madagascar Rosewood: An Instrument That Sets the Bar High
The Bourgeois L-12 Vintage is a guitar you don't just stumble upon. The L-12 format is one of the most beloved body shapes in the Bourgeois catalog: larger than an OM, more compact than a dreadnought, with a sound that combines the best of both worlds. The combination of an Aged Tone Adirondack spruce top and Madagascar rosewood for the back and sides is rare and sounds accordingly.
The Aged Tone treatment opens the cell structure of the Adirondack spruce soundboard, allowing the guitar to respond with the suppleness and warmth that normally only develops after decades of playing. Madagascar rosewood is one of the most coveted tonewoods in lutherie: it delivers a rich, complex tone with tight bass, crystal-clear highs, and a midrange that never gets muddy. The scalloped X-brace allows the top to breathe freely and enhances its sensitivity to nuances in your playing.
The mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, Waverly 3/plate/ivoroid tuners, abalone slotted squares and diamonds inlays, and a traditional ebony bridge complete an instrument that is perfect in every detail. 20 frets on a 25-inch scale. Supplied with a hardshell case.
This is a guitar for the player who knows what they're looking for and is willing to invest in something that will last a lifetime.
