Epiphone Hummingbird Standard with Fishman Element!
The Hummingbird is one of the most recognizable and distinctive acoustic guitars ever built. Originally introduced by Gibson in 1960 as their first square-shoulder dreadnought, this model became a favorite among countless musicians across various genres. With the Epiphone Hummingbird Standard, part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, this iconic design is now accessible in a high-quality execution with authentic details and an all-solid tonewood construction.
This Hummingbird Standard is built with a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, the classic wood combination responsible for the warm, full, and instantly recognizable Hummingbird tone. Because only solid tonewoods are used, the tone develops further as the guitar ages and is played more intensively. The solid mahogany neck has a comfortable Rounded C-profile and is glued to the body with a traditional tapered dovetail joint for optimal resonance and sustain. The genuine rosewood fretboard features 20 frets and the characteristic mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays, a stylish nod to the original design.
The 60s Kalamazoo headstock is finished with the Epiphone logo and the Gibson crown inlay in mother-of-pearl, combined with a bone nut and gold-plated Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone buttons for stable and accurate tuning. The iconic tortoise-style Hummingbird pickguard with classic graphics, the reverse belly rosewood bridge with bone saddle and ivory bridge pins, and the beautiful Cherry Sunburst finish complete the vintage picture.
For live use, this Hummingbird Standard is equipped with Fishman electronics, including an S-Core undersaddle pickup and a Fishman Presys VT preamp with discreet volume and tone controls placed in the soundhole. This gives you quick and easy control over your amplified sound, while the guitar's appearance remains virtually untouched. The guitar comes with a premium Epiphone gig bag, so you can safely and easily take it to rehearsals, the studio, or the stage.
