The Epiphone SG Standard from the Inspired by Gibson Collection is updated and better than ever. For decades, the legendary Gibson SG™ has been a favorite of guitarists in virtually every genre. From Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Eric Clapton, and George Harrison to Angus Young, Tony Iommi, and Robbie Krieger —the SG has left an indelible mark on the history of the electric guitar.

This Epiphone SG Standard features a contoured, double-cutaway mahogany body , giving you effortless access to all 22 frets . The set-in mahogany neck contributes to the model's renowned sustain and resonance. The fast SlimTaper™ C profile feels instantly familiar and makes both rhythm and lead playing comfortable.

The bound rosewood fingerboard has a 12” radius , 22 medium-jumbo frets , and classic pearloid trapezoid inlays . This allows for comfortable chord playing in the lower registers and prevents fret-out during heavy bending higher up the neck.

For tuning stability and reliability, the SG Standard is equipped with Grover® Rotomatic® tuners , a Graph Tech™ nut , and a fully adjustable Epiphone LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge with Stop Bar tailpiece . Together, these components ensure stable intonation and rock-solid tuning, even with heavy use.

The electronics consist of a pair of Epiphone ProBucker™ humbuckers , with a ProBucker 2 in the neck and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge position. These pickups deliver all the vintage SG tones you'd expect: from warm cleans to powerful, cutting rock sounds. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls , supplemented by a 3-way pickup switch for maximum flexibility.
