The Gibson Custom Hummingbird Original Vintage Cherry Sunburst Light Aged is the ultimate interpretation of one of Gibson's most iconic acoustic guitars. Introduced in 1960 as Gibson's first square shoulder model, the Hummingbird immediately captured the hearts of the biggest names in music. This particular instrument, crafted by the artisans of the Murphy Lab, goes a step further than a mere reissue: it embodies the look, feel, and sound of an original Hummingbird from Gibson's Golden Era.

The heart of this instrument is the thermally aged Sitka spruce soundboard, a technique where the wood acquires the acoustic properties that normally require decades of playing through a special roasting process. The result is an open, immediately responsive tone with a warmth and complexity that is immediately noticeable. The mahogany back and sides add body and midrange, while the resonance remains characteristically Hummingbird: full, projected, and full of character.

The mahogany neck has a Rounded profile and features a rosewood fretboard with Mother of Pearl parallelogram inlays across 20 frets. The scale length is 628.65mm, and the nut width is 43.81mm. The bridge is made of rosewood in the traditional belly-up design. Finished with Gotoh tuning machines with keystone buttons in aged gold. The Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment gives both the lacquer and the hardware an authentically aged appearance, including binding on the headstock. Comes with a hardshell case.
