The Laney IRF120H gives you Ironheart character with the freedom of an external speaker cabinet
Take your own amplifier sound with you and choose your own speaker cabinet: the Laney Ironheart Foundry IRF120H offers a practical foundation for a head-and-cab setup. This solid-state guitar amplifier head delivers 120 watts and features two independent channels with an analog amplifier base. The design is inspired by the tone and playing feel of the Ironheart tube series, without being a tube amplifier itself. For practicing at home, there is a low-power mode of less than 1 watt. This allows you to use the same amplifier for a quiet practice session and a rehearsal where you need more power.
The IRF120H lets you explore different distortion characters with symmetrical and asymmetrical gain options. The Bright, Flat, and Dark voicings help you tune the clarity to your guitar and music. With the three-band EQ, you can further adjust the low, mid, and high frequencies. If you want to add extra emphasis during a solo, a footswitchable pre-boost with level control is ready to go. The digital reverb is also footswitchable and has its own level control. This allows you to add space to your sound without needing a separate reverb pedal.
The two 6.3mm speaker outputs provide connection to a suitable speaker cabinet, such as the IRF112 or IRF212. For direct recording or connection to a mixing console, there is an LA·IR XLR output with digital cabinet IR emulation, IR selection, and ground lift. Via the 6.3mm effects loop, you can add external effects; the send can also serve as a line-out without emulation. A 3.5mm aux input and headphone output with cabinet emulation support practicing at home. USB-C offers recording functionality and connection to the LA·IR app. The head measures 212 x 481 x 231 mm and weighs 7.5 kg.
