The PRS SE Special Semi Hollow in Lake Blue is no ordinary guitar. Where most semi-hollows opt for two humbuckers or two single coils, PRS goes its own way: a combination of two 58/15 LT "S" single coils and a Narrowfield DD "S" in the neck positions, complemented by a 5-way switch and two coil-tap mini-toggles. The result is an instrument that feels at home in almost any genre.

The semi-hollow mahogany body with a maple veneer top gives the Special an open, resonant character that you immediately feel as soon as you strike a chord. The 58/15 LT "S" pickups deliver a clear, dynamic sound with plenty of definition, while the Narrowfield in the neck positions adds a warm, jazzy tone rarely found in a standard SE.
