The PRS Tekton Hardtail gives every nuance of your playing room to breathe
The PRS Tekton is available for pre-order. Delivery is expected in late 2026 or early 2027. This schedule is an indication and is subject to change.
Precision without detachment: the PRS Tekton Imperial Topaz is built for guitarists seeking a direct connection to their instrument. The name Tekton refers to the Ancient Greek word for craftsman or builder, a fitting philosophy behind this modern electric guitar. The mahogany solidbody with a figured mango top and Shallow Violin top carve combines a distinctive look with refined ergonomics. The sculpted contours and improved access to the highest frets make it a comfortable partner for long studio sessions, intensive practice, and extended performances.
The two PRS Stylus humbuckers were developed specifically for the Tekton and emphasize articulation, clarity, and character. Clean parts retain their detail, while overdriven chords and fast passages remain clearly defined. Furthermore, the pickups feel just as at home in front of a tube amplifier as they do in a digital modeling setup. The split pickup positions are also designed as full-fledged tonal options, not as an afterthought. With the volume control, push/pull tone control, and three-way blade pickup switch, you can move between different sounds without losing focus on your playing.
The 25.5-inch scale length, the ebony fretboard with a 16-inch radius, and the 24 PRS stainless steel jumbo frets form a purposeful foundation for technical and expressive playing. The maple neck has a Modern D profile that feels slim but offers plenty of grip. Offset dot inlays and blue Luminlay side dots help with orientation. The PRS Hardtail bridge supports natural resonance and a direct response, while PRS Phase III Locking Tuners contribute to tuning stability. A PRS Double-Acting truss rod allows for precise neck adjustment.
Are you looking for a modern PRS that responds clearly to your touch and gives your technique room to breathe? The Tekton Hardtail keeps the path between your ideas and your sound short. This Imperial Topaz version comes with a PRS Premium Gigbag.
