Walrus Audio Fable: granular delay for guitarists who build soundscapes instead of playing notes

The Walrus Audio Fable is a granular delay pedal that merges two worlds: the familiar delay and the fascinating world of granular synthesis. A granulator chops your sound into microscopic pieces, called "grains," resulting in glitchy, stuttering, and atmospheric effects. In the Fable, this is combined with five different delay types for a broad palette of ambient and experimental sounds.

The five programs each offer their own combination of delay type and granular variation. Program 1, for example, combines a reverse delay with a reverse granulator, where each grain is played backward. The X-knob has a different function per program, providing extra control over the granular effect. The Feedback knob is particularly exciting in combination with the granulator effect: at higher feedback settings, self-building, evolving textures emerge. Mod adds extra pitch modulation for even more movement and character.

The Fable has a 1/4" input and output and is powered via 9V DC (300 mA). Controlled via Feedback, Regeneration, Mod, Mix, X, Time, Tone, and Program (I to V).
